Welcome to SWEETBRIER LANE

Nearly thirty years ago, we set foot in the United Kingdom for the very first time.
With little English and no real sense of our surroundings, we walked on—with equal measures of uncertainty and excitement—along a quiet street that would become special to us: Sweetbrier Lane.

From that slightly elevated road, we loved looking out over the charming view of brick-built houses and their chimney pots standing in a row.
The memories of those days, and the feeling of wandering through the English breeze, have stayed with us ever since.

Now, many years later, we have borrowed the name of that very street to begin this small online shop.

We personally select each piece—antiques and characterful items that have been used and cherished for many years, mostly from Britain—and introduce them with the same care with which they were once kept.

We hope that the charm of these time-worn objects and the warmth of traditional craftsmanship will bring a little joy to your everyday life.

今から約30年前、私たちは初めて英国の地を踏みました。 まだ英語も十分に話せず、勝手もわからないまま、不安と期待を胸に歩き始めた通り──
それが SWEETBRIER LANE でした。

少し小高い場所にあるその通りから、チムニーが立ち並ぶレンガ造りの街並みを見下ろす景色が、とても好きでした。 あの頃の思い出と、英国の風を感じながら歩いた時間は、今でも私たちの心に深く残っています。

そして年月を重ねた今、その通りの名前を借りて、この小さなオンラインショップを始めました。

英国を中心に、長く大切に使われてきたアンティークや味わい深い小物を、
私たち自身の目で選び、ひとつずつ丁寧にご紹介しています。

時を経たものが持つ魅力や、手仕事のぬくもりに触れていただき、
日々の暮らしに小さな喜びをお届けできれば幸いです。
